BMW F 850 ​​GS Adventure and Metzeler Karootm 3 together for the test in Sardinia

The presentation of the new one for the Italian press is currently being held in Sardinia BMW F 850 ​​GS Adventure.

On the occasion of the presentation, the new motorbike will be tested on a mixed asphalt and off-road route of approximately 150 kilometers in length. The motorbike from the Elica company is equipped with the tyre Metzeler Karootm 3, in sizes 90/90-21 M/CTL 54VM+S at the front and 150/70-17M/CTL 69RM+S at the rear. The compounds of Karootm 3 they are made with components capable of offering excellent mechanical resistance to tearing and at the same time maintain an excellent damping capacity. There polyester structure guarantees robustness and at the same time flexibility because the tire is able to perfectly copy the roughness of the terrain in off-road contexts for the benefit of handling and traction. As regards the tread design, the trapezoidal blocks present an innovative geometry that promises progressive off-road traction at different lean angles. There V shape of the design, given by the arrangement of the blocks, optimally distributes the lines of force transmitted to the ground for the benefit of more regular wear on asphalt. THE central dowels they reduce their mobility in favor of greater stability even at high speeds. Furthermore, their spacing is variable from the center to the shoulder: in the center the blocks are further apart from each other guarantee better penetration into the ground offering better off-road traction, while on the shoulder the blocks are closer to each other to guarantee greater rubber on the ground when leaning on asphalt in favor of grip.
