BMW F 800 R – The Milan Motorcycle Show, 2014 edition, has finally opened its doors and motorionline.com has embraced the most important news in the two-wheel sector for all its readers. Among these stands out the new BMW F 800 R, a parallel twin with a strong and distinctive character, a dynamic look, excellent sporty driving performance and agile handling.

The engine is the twin-cylinder 798 cc liquid-cooled with four valves per cylinder, capable of delivering 90 CV at 8.000 rpm, and, thanks to the shorter ratio of the first and second gear, the engine offers further enhanced starting capacity, maintaining all the other qualities, such as high elasticity, rapid response and fuel consumption reduced. The maximum torque is always 86 Nm at 5.800 rpm.

The new chassis components e optimized ergonomics allow the driver to enjoy the BMW F 800 R to the fullest, thanks above all to the new seat with a reduced height, 790 mm instead of 800 mm, completed by a new handlebar and new footrests. The suspension of the front wheel is entrusted to an upside down fork, while the stable braking e safe now provides a hydraulic double disc brake with radially mounted brake calipers. The design is also very impressive with the new colours, the new side fairings and the newly designed wheels, which make the BMW F 800 R a Even more dynamic sports roadster. Furthermore, the symmetrically shaped main headlight gives it an unmistakable look.

The BMW F 800 R does not neglect safety and is therefore equipped as standard with ABS or from options such as Automatic Stability Control ASC (Automatic Stability Control) and electronic suspension adjustment ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment).
