The engine is a new and powerful inline twin with two balancer shafts and a firing interval of 270/450 degrees, for optimal operation and an exciting sound The main objective of the project was to increase both power and torque. The displacement is 853 cc with a power of 77 HP at 7.500 rpm for the F 750 GS and 95 HP at 8.250 rpm for the F 850 ​​GS. Furthermore, particular attention was paid to reducing consumption. Unwanted vibrations are absorbed by the two balancer shafts of the new engine. An anti-slipper and self-adjusting clutch requires only the application of light force, while the reduction of engine braking torque also increases driving safety. Power transmission to the rear wheel takes place via the 6-speed gearbox with secondary drive unit, now positioned on the left side.

The “Road” and “Rain” driving modes plus ABS and ASC fully guarantee the pleasure of driving and greater safety as standard, while the combination of ABS and the automatic stability control system ASC guarantees a high level of safety.
