BMW Cruise Bike, an orange jewel on two wheels

Joy, power and energy. No other color evokes as many positive and active associations as orange, which is why it is so perfect for the BMW Cruise Bike. The bike itself represents an active lifestyle, fun and excitement. Starting from spring 2010, the BMW Cruise Bike will wear a fresh orange color.

Retro style meets the future. The extraordinary color of the bike was inspired by the legendary BMW 1802 from the seventies, which of course even then was available in orange – the most fashionable color of the decade. But this is the only retro aspect that concerns the BMW Cruise Bike. The construction itself is based on cutting-edge technology. The aluminum frame was made using innovative hydroforming technology, in which the tubes are filled with oil and pressure-formed. As a result, the heart of the bike is extremely robust.

In addition to the bright orange, an elegant white color has been added to the upper part of the BMW Cruise Bike frame, as well as the Suntour suspension swingarm and seat. This two-tone design highlights the distinctive BMW chassis line and is made even more noticeable by the elegant, smooth welds. Many of the cables run inside the frame, emphasizing the bike's casual look.

The powerful Suntour swingarm together with the 24-speed Shimano Alivio gear system completes the BMW Cruise Bike and guarantees maximum ride comfort – both in the city and in the countryside.
