BMW – If the future is at home BMW it's called autonomous driving, the present is the birth of a new series of motorcycles powered by new Boxer 125O cc engine. All the news from BMW

This end of summer lit up with the announcement by the main manufacturers of many new features on the models that will enrich the various catalogs from 2019 onwards. Between tweaks and creations from scratch, many new features await us and BMW is playing the lion's share in this sense with a series of truly surprising announcements. As regards the models mentioned, other news coming from the States speak of a twin-cylinder engine with variable valve timing like the one present on other competing maxi enduros. The new BMW engine should have a power of 135 horsepower, which is about ten more than the current boxer production. While waiting to find out more, we have already marked on the calendar the dates from 2 to 7 October which coincide with the Cologne Motor Show, an event in which part of the new BMW range should see the light of day and in particular the R 1250 GS which should be fitted with the new boxer engine that we told you about above. This will imply a slight increase in weight, but nothing to worry about also because the performance item will remain at the top of the list that inspired this new creature. The BMW R 1250 GS will be able to reach a maximum speed of around 220 km/h, but Germany guarantees that it has also improved the torque and acceleration parameters, without however affecting the quotas relating to consumption and emissions, which will be controlled by the system with variable distribution (furthermore, the exhaust system is created in compliance with the Euro 5 regulation which will come into force in 2020). The next step will be the presentation of its sister "Adventure".
