Bimota Tesi H2: a new chapter in partnership with Kawasaki [PHOTO AND VIDEO]

Bimote Tesi H2 represents a synergistic synthesis of the new partnership between the Rimini brand and Kawasaki.

A new course

The agreement, reported on the occasion of EICMA 2019, involves the acquisition by Kawasaki Motors Europe of the 49,9% of the Rimini brand, whose name is an acronym of the founders' initials (Bianchi, Morri and Tamburini). The rest 50,1% remains with the entrepreneurs Chianciano e Longoni, as emerged.
Looking at the idea, an optimized synthesis appears between the characterizing concepts of the Thesis signed by the Italian brand and the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX. The frame is that of the Tesi project, recognizable by the peculiar front solution characterized by a swingarm that takes the place of a traditional fork, combined with an integrated steering system in the front hub. The suspensions are electronic signed Öhlins and Brembo the muscular braking system. The use of carbon fiber and aluminum components is connotative, the same material as the plates that make up the frame, as reported. Just as distinctive is the design, streamlined and articulated according to the tradition of the Rimini factory and which integrates aerodynamic fins, a functional air duct for compression efficiency and a voluminous exhaust system.

The heart of the reported project, demonstrated by the various videos also dedicated to braking and stability tests, is an engine made up of four in-line cylinders 998 cc supercharged through a centrifugal compressor. A unit already noticed on Akashi's high-performance Sport Tourer, which it offers on the powerful Japanese example 200 horses of thrust to 11.000 rpm.
