Beta Trial Evo My 2017 – Beta presents the new Trial Evo My 2017 range which is preparing to receive the baton from its progenitor, the 2016 model. Beta engineers have carried out intense work on the development and refinement of the vehicle, both on a technical/functional and design level, to launch on the market a motorcycle closely derived from the previous one but even more performing, intuitive and pleasant to ride.

The Beta Trial Evo My 2017 range is more performing, intuitive and pleasant to drive. As regards the 2-stroke engines, it is available in 125/250/300, to which the 300 4-stroke is added. Great news is the introduction of the new 2-stroke Evo SS 300, where "SS" is the acronym for "Super Smooth", a new Trial with a decidedly softer and more fun character than its more aggressive sisters. This is a motorbike designed for Trial enthusiasts. All engines comply with Euro4 homologation regulations. The new bike will be revealed during the Italian round of the World Trials Championship, scheduled for 3 and 4 September in Chiampo.

The engine remains the real flagship of the Evo and makes usability and driveability its distinctive feature. Like the rest of the project, the engine has also benefited from numerous updates compared to the previous model. The features common to all 2-stroke engines are, for example, the new main bearing seals which significantly reduce the sliding friction between the crankshaft and oil seal and the new ignition coil. The greater energy available for discharge brings benefits in terms of stability of the carburetion, the engine responses therefore become more precise and repeatable, facilitating the handling of the motorbike. Furthermore, we have the new control unit which, by modifying the hardware with a double spark discharge system, further improves carburetion stability. This considerably reduces the cyclic irregularity typical of two-stroke engines at partial loads, generating a more full-bodied and at the same time more tractable character at low rpm.

The soft version of the Evo 300 My 2017 aims to obtain an easy, intuitive but still high-performance engine when the pilot needs it. The “SS” version acquires all the electronic and mechanical updates present on the Evo 300 but differs in the following components:

• New silencer with increased section of sound-absorbing cylindrical mesh and new felts with high noise reduction value. The engine is quieter, more pleasant to use and easier to interpret by the rider thanks to the perfect linearity of delivery/progression.
• New combustion chamber with compression ratio and layout dedicated to less competitive use. It allows a precise response of the engine at every rotation speed, even very close to idle speed. The engine is therefore precise, tractable and always under control.
• Flywheel with increased inertia which makes the engine rounder and more pleasant to use without penalizing overall performance.
• Primary transmission with additional inertia: together with the flywheel it allows to obtain an engine that is pleasant to use for any type of rider, perfectly "round" at idle speed, tractable and linear in progression.
• Long-stroke throttle control: transmits maximum pleasure in controlling the engine close to idle speed and at small partial loads without clutch support.
