The new Beta RX 300 2T enriches the proposal RideAbility signed by the Tuscan brand, projecting towards the Motocross panorama. A first Cross model for fans of the Old Continent, after entering the MXGP World Championship three years ago.

The specialised farming model

The specimen RX 300 2T it is already known in the US market. A motorcycle introduced in 2021 as a Cross-Country derived from an Enduro concept, to then be directed towards the cross panorama with various adaptations. Also considering the sporting experience in the MXGP World Championship with the 450 4T model, an evolution of the model has been achieved which today is essentially a cross bike with only a few points of contact with the Enduro proposal. A sporting concept made to compete but also designed to express handling and control, to support fun. Few examples are expected for a first approach outside the US context. A first European version which represents a return of the Beta brand to the Cross sector and which acts as a trailblazer for a new family of new vehicles, as indicated.
RideAbility represents the way in which Beta brings riders closer to these models and ensures that they have a motorcycle that makes riding easier and at the same time performs well.

Technical aspects

A project with its own alchemy compared to the Enduro proposal, as mentioned, covered with a new design characterized by the typical shades of the Racing specimens signed Beta. Among the special elements we highlight: hand guards, footrest in black Ergal with steel pin, a red anodized bi-material crown, same color for the chain eye and for the Ergal chain tensioner, then blue anodized excel rims.
Contained on the handlebar controls, on the right side is the button for electronic ignition, while on the left is the switch off button. The electrical system itself is minimalist and, considering what has been done on the 2T models, also the model RX 300 It features two engine maps for dry and wet conditions. They can be chosen via a button located behind the steering head. The battery is lithium.
No changes to the chassis compared to the Enduro RR 300 model, however the model appears slimmer due to the different suspensions adopted. The rear subframe is made of composite material.
The suspension part is made up of a Kayaba fork and mono-shock absorber, as on the RR Racing specimens. Solutions with settings dedicated to cross use, but the 48 mm fork also has a different geometry, with greater travel and 10 mm longer stanchions. The mono-shock with specific calibration preserves an affinity with that of the Enduro panorama. The adjustable suspensions were set by Rignano technicians based on precision, stability and speed. The braking system is Nissin with floating calipers and 260 mm discs at the front and 240 mm at the rear. The wheels then have different sizes, a type stands out at the front 21 inches, instead behind another from 19 inches which are fitted with Michelin Starcross 6 tires in the respective sizes 80/100-21 and 120/80-19.

Motor

The engine of the specimen Beta RX 300 2T it shares the displacement and little else with the heart of the Enduro model, given that it is a motorcycle dedicated to the Cross sector. A more lively unit at medium-high rotation speeds and with greater reach and robust torque, for an exploitable and manageable progression, as reported. Among the main aspects, a different cylinder is highlighted compared to the 300 Enduro model, considering a classic "Quadro" with bore x stroke values ​​of 72.0 x 72.0 mm, reaching greater levels of torque and power. 5 horsepower reported at 8.000 rpm and 1,5 Nm at 7.000 rpm.
The crankshaft is lighter and smaller in diameter, for faster acceleration towards high speeds. A dedicated casing is thus introduced where the solution is present. High performance blue silicone cooling hoses have been adopted, the dedicated spark plug is an NGK BR8ECM and the carburettor is a 38 mm Keihin PWK. Furthermore, there is a new specific two-ring post, considering the different cylinder diagrams and a higher compression ratio and different heights.
Also highlighted is an exhaust valve placed in the opening, in light of a different operation of the engine and its use. This remains customizable using the appropriate register, as on the Beta Enduro models. The propulsion part is associated with a clutch with cup springs which derives from a readjustment of the component introduced on the RR, favoring a smooth action of the control, engagement and robust torque. By operating the appropriate ring nut, through a mechanical intervention, the clutch can be set in its spring preload on three positions.
The bike is equipped with a short silencer to improve performance at medium-high rpm.
