Beta Motorcycles RR MY 2020: eight standard engines and advanced chassis [PHOTO]

The manufacturer from Rignano sull'Arno, Florence, presents the RR 2020 enduro overview

Interventions on the chassis, refinements from an ergonomic point of view and eight engines (four 2-stroke 125/200/250/300 cc and as many 4 times 350/390/430/480 cc), which distinguish a varied choice. The new RR MY 2020 di Beta Motorcycles represents a conceptual evolution in the enduro tradition of the Tuscan brand.

Aesthetics and cycling

Starting from the design, new functional superstructures also stand out from an ergonomic point of view. Specifically, a front grille, a front mudguard with variable thickness geometry and a rear one, remodeled conveyors and side panels. Also highlighted is a new rear subframe in technopolymer, the same material used for the bindings. Therefore a new protection reserved for the handlebars, a renewed license plate holder, a reconfigured skid plate, a rear light also reconfigured, new protections dedicated to the frame and also to the silencer, apart from the 125 model), a new digital instrument and a reshaped saddle, recovering the indications.
Moving on to the chassis, we notice a renewed frame taking into account stiffness and geometry. It is lighter, with micro-cast components and more tapered in the lower part with a view to off-road activities. The handlebar appears wider, the fork has been updated with reconfigured internals and revised calibrations, evaluating greater management of pitch and roughness. The swingarm has also been redefined and is wider across the range 4 times 200 cc 2-stroke version, to promote motor skills and grip. The same rear shock absorber is new with a newly developed stabilizing system, a buffer that improves bottom-out protection and this has also been re-calibrated considering the new frame. The rear frame itself has also been revised with a more robust structure that is also better protected from water with the integration of various components of the filter box and accessories. Improvements also regarding the cooling system, a new intake sleeve, the filter mounting solution which facilitates the operation, the tank itself is more capacious for the benefit of the ergonomics and autonomy of the vehicle: 9,1 liters for 4 times e 9,5 liters for 2 times, as specified. Also new with regards to reporting 430/480 cc, now smaller than the previous version; the stronger and wider brake pedal; a longer chain eye depending on the swingarm; new micro-cast footrests; a redesigned exhaust setup and a larger stand footprint.

Engines

There are several new features also related to the propulsion part, starting from the models 4 times 350/390/430/480 cc. Head and cylinder revised in light of the renewed cooling system, like the oil circuit. The base of the unit has been reconfigured, containing the weight by around one kilogram and making the contribution of the rotating masses more tapered, lifting the clutch and moving the crankshaft further back. Bringing the weight of the swingarm and the center of gravity of the vehicle closer at the same time. Redesigned flywheel cover magnesium AZ91, same material for the clutch cover, also reconfigured. The gearbox has been redesigned, lighter and more compact, just as the gearbox control system is new with a lighter cam and the gear lever itself has been remodeled, based on the new base. Improved maps and introduced a sensor combined with the neutral ratio. Interventions also on the clutch driven discs and a refined water pump system to guarantee better operating efficiency, always considering the indications reported.
Passing the specimens 250/300 cc 2-stroke, on the model 250 cc the head has been redesigned to benefit the torque at low revs, therefore it features a countershaft which attenuates vibrations and supports the delivery, therefore reaching the RR MY 2020 125 cc 2-stroke there is talk of a new expansion, just as the centrifugal unit is new. Therefore the diagrams and the exhaust port of the renewed cylinder have also been modified, an updated clutch cover, together with the valve and the exhaust flange, as well as new boosters still taking up what is indicated.
