Beta – The air of home was good for me Beta Factory Enduro Team, a true protagonist of the Italian GP. The FIM Enduro GP World Championship, after a long summer break, reopened its gates on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September with the rehearsal of edolo (BS) where the sixth round of the season took place. The Motoclub Sebino and Edolo Motoclub, as usual, achieved an excellent race even though bad weather and heavy rain raged throughout the weekend.

Italian GP: the results for Beta

Steve Holcombe he ran an incredible race, as an undisputed dominator. On Day One, the British rider recorded nine absolute best times in the twelve special tests held, trailing the second place finisher in the Enduro GP by around one minute and thirty seconds. Brad Freeman, rider of Team Beta Boano. History repeated itself on the second day of competition and, thanks to this splendid one-two, Steve Holcombe now takes the lead in the provisional Enduro GP ranking. Even in the E3 class Steve Holcombe, with the double achieved in Edolo, is increasingly the undisputed leader. A difficult weekend, however, for Christophe Charlier who, due to a physical problem, was unable to get the right pace that would have allowed him to achieve prestigious placings on both days of the race. Splendid performance for the Team Beta Boano riders with Brad Freeman second on both days in the Enduro GP - results that allow him to consolidate 3rd place in the championship standings - and always first in E3. Double in the Enduro Junior for Matteo Cavallo, now increasingly leader in the general classification. Double podium for Anthony Geslin – of Team Beta France – who achieved two third places in E3. The next appointment is scheduled for Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September with the French GP, the seventh and penultimate world round.

Italian GP: the words of the protagonists

"It was a perfect weekend. I started immediately trying to push hard on each special stage and after gaining several seconds of advantage I managed the victory – said Steve Holcombe -. The following day I didn't want to take any risks and on the first lap I tried to understand the three special stages well. The battle with Brad Freeman was exciting and we had a lot of fun“. Less fortunate was Christophe Charlier who prefers to look ahead: “During today I felt a pain in my hand and I preferred not to take risks and withdrew. A weekend to forget but we are working in the right direction and I hope that we can get a podium at the French GP".
