Beta does great things with Holcombe in Portugal

Beta – Team Beta Factory celebrates Steve Holcombe's double class victory and first place on Day 2 in the Enduro GP and the podiums of its other two official riders.

In Gouveia in Portugal during the second world round the Beta Factory Team was a great protagonist with Steve Holcombe who took home a class victory on Day One and a third place in the Enduro GP, after spending a day fighting for first position. The following day, the English rider was in command of the overall championship, thus giving Beta its first world success in the newly created Enduro GP. In the provisional ranking of the E3 class Steve, with the double success on Portuguese soil, jumps into the lead. “Happy for today's success both in the class but above all with my first success and also of the team in the Enduro GP. Yesterday, while I was fighting for first place in the overall, I made an unforgivable mistake and we threw away first place.” Holcombe said after the race.

Johnny Aubert, Steve Holcombe's classmate, had a good first day in Portugal, taking third place, while on Day 2 he made a few too many mistakes compromising the race day. “The weekend started badly since the SuperTest on Friday evening where I didn't run well, then on Saturday I made a mistake by choosing to use the hard tire and I struggled a lot but, despite this, I finished with a third place in my class. Sunday started well with a good pace but then I fell badly to the ground in the second cross test, hitting my left elbow hard and compromising the race.” said Aubert.

Not very well, however, Alex Salvini who made a few too many mistakes on Day One, but on the final day he made up for it with an excellent third place in the E2 class. "THEThe weekend started well with the second overall time in the SuperTest and I also started strong in the first special test where I had a gap of about 15 seconds but then it didn't materialize in the best way due to several crashes.” Salvini said. “Today however it went a little better even though I immediately fell badly to the ground in the first Enduro Test but in the end we achieved third place in class".
