The new Benelli Tornado Naked Twin 500 it represents a concept of advanced sportiness animated by a 500 cc twin-cylinder engine.

Design

The aesthetics are distinctive and immediately convey the model's bold personality. It recalls tradition and at the same time projects the stylistic language forward, considering the volumes and decisive shapes associated with other more sinuous features, meeting more current aesthetic ideas. The overall design anticipates the dynamism of the model. Further connotative is the design of the new front light cluster, linked to the future range of naked sports bikes. The refined light signature includes daylights (DRL) distinct from the high beam and low beam light modules full-LED, located in the central area.
The instrumentation is housed in one 5 inch color TFT screen high resolution, equipped with a Bluetooth connection to interact with the phone via the handlebar blocks. The front indicators are integrated into the hand guards, while the latest generation rear light is integrated into the directional indicators.

Technology

Il frame It is constituted by a steel tube trellis, designed to support agility on different routes and the wheelbase extends for 1.451 millimeters. The tank can hold 14 liters of fuel.
The suspension part is made up of an upside-down fork with 50 mm legs with a travel of 125 mm, while at the back there is an oscillating swingarm with a central mono-shock absorber, adjustable in spring preload and brake rebound. The travel reaches 41,2 mm.
The braking system features a double 320 mm semi-floating disc at the front with a four-piston radial caliper and ABS, then a 260 mm diameter disc at the rear with a single-piston floating caliper and ABS. The wheel rims, in aluminum alloy and offered in white, are from 17 inches and fit 120/70 and 160/60 tyres.

Part propelled

The heart twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled propulsion system, already known with the Benelli Leoncino 500 and TRK 502, in this case receives modifications to be combined with the new naked. A new design for the clutch cover and transmission cover are considered, given the style of the model and the position of the engine in the new chassis. We also note some interventions on the exhaust system, given the new catalysts adapted to current regulations and the filter box with an optimization of the intake system from the point of view of noise emissions and performance. Other aspects highlighted include wet sump lubrication, a wet multi-plate clutch with torque servo and slipper, and a chain final drive with a six-speed gearbox.
The maximum power reaches i 47,6 horses (35 kW) at 8.500 rpm and the torque reaches a peak of 46 Nm at 6.000 rpm.

Availability

The new Benelli Tornado Naked Twin 500 will be offered in Benelli dealerships from the second half of 2023according to the instructions.
