Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail it is a motorcycle with a versatile attitude, characterized by a 19-inch front wheel and a tall dual exhaust. The new model can be seen at EICMA, the International Two Wheel Exhibition, together with other interesting innovations such as the compact Benelli Leoncino 125 and the new TKR 800.

New

The new Little lion 125 it is a compact car powered by a 125 cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, characterized by electronic injection with a 28 mm diameter throttle body, wet clutch and six-speed gearbox. Power reaches 12,8 HP (9,4 kW) at 9.500 rpm with 10 Nm (1,0 kgm) of torque at 8.500 rpm.

In addition to Leoncino 800 Trial there is also the most road one Little lion 800, with which the concept and technical elements are shared.

The Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail has features that bring it closer to the panorama of off-road motorbikes, for example a high fairing stands out in the front area above the full LED headlight, with the connotative arched light motif of the Leoncino panoramic. The features are sculpted in particular in the area of ​​the steel tank, as on the 800 road, always with a stylistic element of the arch with two tank bumpers, in addition to the aforementioned new and specific high and lateral double exhaust, up to the number plate and heat shield always located laterally. From an aesthetic point of view, the Lion symbol on the front fender is also noticeable.
The Trail model is also characterized by instrumentation on a TFT screen with a seat designed to promote comfort and underneath this an aluminum side panel designed to set the Leoncino logo. The saddle is placed at a height of 834 millimeters, compared to 805 millimeters of the road. The specimen is offered in colours Grey e Verde.

Technology

Compared to the road model, changes were made to the chassis to tackle even the most demanding sections. It features a tubular trellis frame with steel plates and the suspension part is made up in the front area of ​​a Marzocchi up-side-down fork with 50 mm diameter legs, adjustable in rebound, compression and preload, with 148 mm of travel compared to the 140 mm of the road. In the rear area there is a swingarm with central mono adjustable in spring preload and hydraulic brake in extension, with wheel travel increased to 140 mm.
The Brembo braking system, also found on the Leoncino 800, is made up of a double semi-floating front disc of 320 mm in diameter with a four-piston radial monobloc caliper, then by a rear disc of 260 mm in diameter with double piston caliper.
The model is also equipped with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel wearing 120/70 and 170/60 knobby tyres.
For some markets, a new version equipped with a Benelli-branded suspension and braking system was also added, as reported.

Motor

The engine is a four-stroke twin-cylinder 754 cc and liquid cooled, which also powers the Benelli Leoncino 800. An engine with double overhead camshaft distribution, 4 valves per cylinder and double 43 mm diameter throttle body. Also noteworthy are a clutch with torque servoing and anti-slipper function in an oil bath and a six-speed gearbox.
The power reaches altitude 76,2 horses (56 kW) at 8.500 rpm with 67 Nm (6,8 kgm) of torque at 6.500 rpm.

Availability

The model will be offered in Benelli dealerships starting from spring 2022.
