Benelli Leoncino 500 and Leoncino 500 Trail: the characteristics of the renewed models [PHOTO]

An update from an aesthetic point of view, together with technical innovations and a twin-cylinder engine Euro 5, are the aspects highlighted by the new ones Benelli Leoncino 500 e Leoncino 500 Trail.

Benelli Leoncino 500 MY 2021

The shapes remain sculpted and distinctive with the connotative tank arch now tone-on-tone. Furthermore, the silhouette of the lion, located on the front mudguard, is dark. The characterizing factors also include an exposed trellis frame, a rounded front light cluster with a distinctive arched light signature and digital instrumentation. The saddle has also been revised, according to the indications.

Moving on to the chassis, there is a new upside-down fork with adjustable hydraulic brake extension, whose diameter amounts to 50 millimeters. At the rear there is a new shock absorber that is adjustable like the fork and with a manual preload management knob.
The ABS braking system consists of a double front disc with a diameter of 320 mm associated with a four-piston radial caliper, while behind a disc 260 mm and a single pin caliper. The new Benelli Leoncino is equipped with alloy wheels 17 inches.

Benelli Leoncino 500 Trail MY 2021

Compared to the Leoncino 500 model just mentioned, the renewed version Trail it is immediately distinguishable by the presence of knobby wheels linked to spoked rims in aluminum alloy and in a silvery appearance and different dimensions: 19 inches in front and 17 inches behind. The braking system consists of a double front disc 320 millimeters and two-piston floating calipers, while behind a single disc 260 mm with single piston caliper. Also in this case an ABS system was reported.
The suspension part features an upside-down front fork 50 mm and behind a swingarm with lateral mono-shock with 55 mm of excursion.

Motor

The engine is always there twin cylinder four times from 500 cc, liquid cooled, now Euro 5 as mentioned. Evolutionary interventions are noted which concern the engine control unit or ECU, the transmission and the exhaust system.
