Benelli Leoncino 125: a new compact modern classic for 2022

A compact aesthetic with retro references. The new Benelli Leoncino 125 it represents a concept that recalls other examples of the Leoncino range, thanks to a classic and at the same time contemporary style. A model designed for young motorbike enthusiasts and for those just getting started with a motorbike.

Design

The motorbike is proposed in the colours Grey e Verde. Among the connotative aspects, the stylized Lion present on the front mudguard, as on other examples of Leoncino, stand out; be an entirely type optical assembly LED equipped with an elegant and refined luminous motif.
The bike also features digital instrumentation and the tank is characterized by a mix of classic and modern lines, noting in particular the fluid surfaces that make this example distinguishable.

Technology

The frame consists of a tubular steel trellis, designed to integrate with the design of the model.
The suspension part of the Benelli Leoncino 125 is composed of an up-side-down front fork with legs with a diameter of 35 millimeters and an oscillating rear swingarm with central monoshock and travel 53 mm. The braking system with CBS solution also includes a single floating front disc 280 mm combined with a three-piston caliper, then a disc behind it 220 mm with a two-piston floating caliper. The motorbike is equipped with aluminum alloy wheels 17 inches which fit 110/80-R17 and 130/70-R17 tyres.

Motor

A new engine is associated with the model single cylinder da 125 cc four-stroke and liquid-cooled. A new heart for the eighth-litre models in the range. The four-valve unit is equipped with electronic injection with a throttle body whose diameter is 28 millimetres, single overhead camshaft distribution and also features a wet clutch and six-speed gearbox.
The power reaches i 12,8 horses (9,4 kW) at 9.500 rpm with a torque of 10 Nm (1,0 kgm) at 8.500 rpm.
