Benelli 502c: the new urban cruiser presented at EICMA 2018 [PHOTO]

EICMA 2018 Benelli – On the occasion of EICMA 2018 Benelli presented the world preview of the new 502c, an urban cruiser that follows the principles of customs.

The Pesaro company broadens its horizons, entering the cruiser line market sector, but in its own way. Under the control of the Chinese Qianjiang group, the House of the Leoncino has moved to the small displacement market sector. With this philosophy, Benelli seeks to exploit a sector of the market that is usually not very accessible to younger people, launching the new cruiser line on the market.

Technical information. The 502c is equipped with a two-cylinder in-line engine, the same one mounted on the Leoncino and TKR models, capable of delivering power of 47,6 HP (35 kW) at 8500 rpm, torque of 45 Nm (3,6 kgm) at 5000 rpm. The tubular trellis frame with steel plates is combined with an up-side-down fork with 41mm stanchions at the front, with a travel of 125mm, and at the rear with a swingarm with an adjustable central monoshock, with a travel of 50 mm. Braking is entrusted to a double semi-floating disc with a diameter of 260 mm at the front and a disc of 240 mm in diameter at the rear, braked by 4-piston calipers at the front and single piston at the rear.

The 502C will be available in black and red colors starting next spring. The price is still being defined.
