In the proposal Audi as a supplier of sustainable mobility services, together with the four-wheeled innovations, an example of is introduced electric mountain bike created in partnership with the Italian reality Fantic.

The e-bike of the rings

Audi electric mountain bike powered by Fantic falls into the exemplary category Enduro e-MTB, considering the large travel of the Öhlins suspensions. This e-bike can be used in all-mountain style technical tests and on the most demanding descents. Furthermore, this full suspension mountain bike is covered with a livery that recalls that of the Audi RS Q e-tron E2 electric prototype seen in action at the Dakar. The sample is offered in sizes S, M e L and, according to the information, the weight reaches i 25,5 kg including the battery.

On the handlebars are the controls for the 12-speed Sram GX Eagle AXS electronic gearbox with overload clutch that avoids mechanical stress, the Braking IN.CA.S. brake levers, the lever that manages the telescopic seat post with internal cable routing chassis. The Brose display, together with a summary of the speed, the amount of battery charge and other information from the trip computer, highlights the chosen level of assistance. Four options are available between eco, tour, sport and boost, together with the walk mode which supports in the most demanding situations, allowing the e-bike to advance without pedaling at a speed between 3 and 6 km/h, as indicated.

Il frame it is typological Mullets, developed in aluminum with carbon seat stays. This is combined with a front wheel 29 inches with 2,6 inch tires and a rear wheel 27,5 inches with 2.8 inch wide tires. Setting that facilitates an easier approach in case of obstacles and traction on any surface. The rims are Mavic e-Deemax.

The suspension part consists of an RXF38 m.2 Öhlins fork characterized by 38 mm diameter legs with a travel that reaches 180 mm, in addition to the three-chamber pneumatic spring which conceptually brings to mind the triple-chamber adaptive pneumatic suspensions of the Audi e-tron GT Granturismo.
There are several possibilities for adjusting the fork via 15 clicks in compression and rebound at low speed, then 3 clicks in compression at high speed, together with a dedicated setting for climbing. The shock is an Öhlins TTX 22M twin-tube unit in the 205 x 65mm configuration with separate compression from rebound and spherical bearings.
The braking system features a hydraulic pump and calipers machined from solid and CNC machined, defined taking inspiration from the motorcycle field, which act on S3 Batfly discs with a daisy design and large diameters of 220 mm and 203 mm respectively at the front and rear.
This e-bike is equipped with a 250 Watt Brose S-Mag engine of power. The couple reaches i 90 Nm and is powered by a battery Fantic Integra lithium 720 Wh.
