Askoll: the suspension of activity continues until 4 May 2020

The company Askoll EVA SpA that develops e-bike ed e-scooter, as well as kits and related components electric motors e car's battery performance, points out that following the Prime Ministerial Decree of 10 April 2020 la suspension of the company activity will continue until May 4 2020.

The quoted MCPD provides for the extension of “suspension of non-essential production and commercial activities” until May 4.
THECEO Gian Franco Nanni highlighted, on the occasion, “the unprecedented impact on the world economy” of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, also considering the sharing and retail sectors and a difficulty in precisely planning the follow-up. An aspect to consider together with “economic structural measures” advanced by the Italian Government and the other European countries where it operates Askoll EVA, once this emergency phase is over. “In the meantime, to try to counteract the effects on the company as much as possible, we are already reorganizing production to try to make all processes more efficient, focusing in particular on reducing costs and we are working in parallel to be ready for the reopening of activities and markets", the executive also quoted “positive signals regarding sustainable mobility which is the subject of attention from numerous countries and consumers around the world and which, based on declarations of intent, will presumably be the subject of economic incentives”.
Considering the economic crisis linked to the restrictions implemented for the emergency, in Italy and in other international realities, it is indicated that the guidance regarding the two-year period 2020-2021 are "no longer current, without prejudice to any future developments which are not yet foreseeable". Therefore the estimates for 2020-2021, not quantifiable at the moment, will be developed and communicated when possible.
