Askoll: electric present and future at EICMA 2018 [INTERVIEW]

Electric is an increasingly topical topic even in the world of two wheels Askoll is one of the most cutting-edge brands on the topic, as demonstrated by the pavilion ad EICMA 2018, open to the public until Sunday 11th. A new concept of a 125, a special edition version of the eS3 scooter and more: we talked about it with Gianfranco Nanni, corporate marketing manager of the brand.

The new Askoll electric concept

In the foreground there is, as mentioned, a new one prototype, ready to give life to a new range of High Performance scooters: “Let's make a leap in terms of dimensions and performance, it is the progenitor of the new scooters, which will start from a 125 engine – Nanni's words – A vehicle used mainly in cities, for everyday mobility, but not only".

Un 8 kW motor, maximum speed of 90 km and an autonomy of approximately 100 kilometers."to deal with both city mobility, but also be able to move on busy roads with good performance and have the agility of Askoll vehicles".

Askoll eS3 and a new app

The other model presented at EICMA is a special version of the Askoll eS3 scooter, which we will see on the road during 2019.”It is equipped with an elongated saddle to accommodate the passenger more comfortably – Nanni's words – a double disc CBS braking system and then connectivity, interpreted in our way".

Through aapplication, available for Android and iOS in 2019, you can learn a lot of information about the vehicle: “It not only allows you to provide content remotely, but also provides assistance to the user, from maintenance notifications to vehicle anomalies, up to the most fun connectivity functions".
