Arai SZ-R VAS: a jet helmet with VAS technology and a redefined visor

The cap of this case is defined through technology Super Fiber Belt as a reinforcement of the visor profile, the construction in PB-CLC2 it was inherited from the QV-Pro touring range. The use of special resins allows us to obtain a rigid and resistant shell, but equally light compared to that of the previous model. The sizes offered are: SX, Small e Large.
The helmet is also more compact with an even lower center of gravity, resulting in an optimal balance that promotes comfort. Furthermore, to improve the possibility of the helmet slipping on any obstacles, to deflect the energy of an impact and avoid jamming or rotations, the external supports, compared to the previous model, have been lowered by 14 mm, making the shell even more smoother and more resistant in the temple area.

The visor design avoids possible distortions due to refraction and promotes a wide field of vision. Through the VAS mechanism it allows the adoption of an exclusive Sun Visor Pro Shade System to support visibility in various conditions. The Pro Shade System sun visor is available in smoked and mirrored versions. Moving on to ventilation, the channels and incoming and outgoing flows have been implemented. The front air intakes convey ventilation to the facial area, so the new Diffusers 12 inherited from the RX-7V have been relocated together with the Air Wing to maximize the extraction of internal hot air and promote stability when the pace is sustained. The internal parts are developed with materials that are characterized by anti-bacterial characteristics and the cheek pads and internal cap are removable, customizable and washable. The Facial Contour System (FCS) further amplifies comfort, as indicated, even after hours of use with a custom fit. There is also a provision for housing the earphones of an Intercom system, avoiding pressure points or potential impact damage. The sponges used for the pillows are covered with a layer of water-proof material which prevents the absorption of rain and reduces noise. There is also a space to allow the use of glasses.
