Arai SZ-R VAS: a redefined jet helmet

Arai SZ-R VAS it is a jet helmet that features a reshaped visor with new VAS technology. An example compatible with the Pro Shade System, equipped with a Diffusers ventilation system developed on the RX-7V, new customizable interiors and provision for earphones and glasses, as reported.

Entirely redefined, the outer shell is developed in PB-CLC2 thanks to the additionally compact and resistant Super Fiber Belt reinforcement.
The vents Brow Vent they have been reset to facilitate operation, maximizing the incoming air flow. The DF12 Diffusers are similar to those of the RX-7V model and furthermore work has been done on the attack angle of the Air Wing aerodynamic appendage, refining its stability at high speeds and reducing resistance to progress.
La VAS technology allows the installation of external supports 14 millimeters lower, allowing for a smooth surface at the height of the temples, so that the helmet can slide over any obstacles, without risky snags. The renewed visor design supports stability at high speeds and promotes the breadth of vision, according to the indications.
The visor opening and locking system has been simplified even with gloves and, for those who undertake long journeys, there is a Pinlock predisposition (optional anti-fog lens). A compatible Pro Shade system has also been made available, which until now could only be installed on full-face helmets.
Moving on to the interior, the removable and customizable shell and cheek pads have been designed to promote uniform distribution of pressure on the face. The interior features a removable 5 mm layer (Peel-Off) which allows further customization of the area. The sponges of the pillows are covered with a water-resistant surface, promoting protection in case of rain, with the presence of a stop to always keep the earphones of a possible Intercom system in position.
