Arai RX-7V: a helmet that combines high sportiness and safety [PHOTO]

Arai RX-7V it is an example of the brand's great experience in helmet development. The model features a redefined shell in PB-SNC², an even smoother and more resistant temple area and a VAS (Variable Axis System) visor system.

Helmet

The shell, entirely redesigned following the R75 Shape criterion, is designed to be smoother and more resistant, allowing the helmet to slide without generating dangerous rotations. The VAS visor system allows you to further lower the opening mechanisms with effective absorption in the temple area. The PB-SNC², used for the shell, is a new resin that refines the cohesion between the various layers of fiber, allowing the shell to be more resistant with a lighter weight of around 30 grams, as reported. An internal shell made of differentiated density polystyrene in a single piece is then used, with 3 to 5 different density areas, functional for energy absorption.
Also highlighted is a central upper air intake, with 11% more ventilation and a new opening/closing system, allowing the user to use it intuitively and quickly. The incoming air is forced by the Air Channel into the air from the temples to the side ducts. The Diffusers are 20 mm wider, more aerodynamically efficient and allow 19% more air to be introduced inside. The Airwing, adjustable in five positions, refines stability and reduces the buffeting effect at high speeds.

There are new diffusers that are 20 mm longer to maximize aerodynamic efficiency. The front intake holes have been enlarged, and the opening/closing system of the air intakes is easier to operate and has been revised, optimizing the silence of the helmet even when they are closed. The new shell design expands the space in the chin area by 3 mm. Then considering the aforementioned new Variable Axis System (VAS) visor system, the reduced dimensions of the mechanism and external supports are functional not only for the helmet's performance in the event of an impact but also to facilitate its replacement.
The visor lock system has been redesigned, becoming even more resistant and operable with a single movement and even when wearing gloves.
The washable interiors are made with lining fabrics and characterized by a redefined design useful for comfort. The points most subject to stress are designed to flex or even separate, not interfering with the absorption performance of the shell, as indicated. Furthermore, there is a Double-D strap closure system that fits snugly on every type of face.
