Arai: the 2019 novelties are Profile-V, SZ-R VAS and Urban-V [PHOTO]

Arai – The latest edition of EICMA was characterized by many innovations also in terms of helmets and a leading brand on the global market such as Arai could not miss the opportunity to present to the world the latest proposals called Arai Profile V, Arai SZ-R VAS e Arai Urban-V, a full-face helmet (the first) and two jets with very different characteristics and capable of satisfying the most disparate needs.

Arai Profile-V: how it's made

Profile-V It constitutes the main innovation from Arai, while combining some characteristics that have made the brand successful, such as originality, protection and construction quality. Like every other helmet made by Arai, Profile-V is equipped with an extremely rigid and resistant outer shell, designed to deflect the energy of any impacts and to prevent the creation of dangerous rotational forces. The internal shell made of EPS with differentiated densities in a single piece to absorb and store the energy created by the impact. In case of wear or abrasion, the visor can be replaced in a very short time thanks to the VAS (Variable Axis System). Profile-V has two vents in the upper part of the shell, two Brow Vents integrated into the visor, a three-position chin vent and five extractors. The VAS Max Vision Pinlock Ready visor locking system comes straight from Formula1. The cheek pads and part of the internal shell are removable, washable, customizable and designed to insert a microphone or intercom.

Arai SZ-R VAS: how it's made

Arai SZ-R VAS it is the new top of the range Arai jet helmet. Among the novelties of the new edition, the visor which has been redesigned and is equipped with the VAS system, is compatible with the Pro Shade System and boasts completely customizable interiors, perfect for housing earphones or glasses without discomfort for the wearer. The outer shell is made of PB-CLC2 and thanks to the reinforcing Super Fiber Belt it is even more resistant, rigid and compact. Careful work in the wind tunnel has made it possible to improve stability at high speeds and the width of the field of vision. SZ-R VAS is equipped with Pinlock predisposition with optional anti-fog lens). The interiors of SZ-R VAS are made with special anti-bacterial and anti-mould materials. The cheek pads and internal cap are completely removable, washable and customizable in various millimeter sizes to perfectly adapt to the rider's head. The helmet is on sale in the solid color version at the price of 639 euros and the Design version at 749 euros.

Arai Urban-V: how it's made

Arai Urban-V It is the helmet designed to combine the vintage style that is so fashionable now with the highest safety standards. The eco-leather finishes with visible stitching give a very pleasant retro touch, but in fact it is a modern helmet, with cutting-edge construction systems. The external shell is made of PB-cLc2 (Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction2, the one adopted in F1 so to speak...) while the internal one is made of EPS with differentiated densities in a single piece. The addition of a layer of Organic Felt inserted between the various laminate sheets promotes the rigidity of the external shell without weighing on the. The air enters through three channels positioned in the frontal area to flow over the head eliminating heat. The interiors are antimicrobial, removable and customizable. Furthermore, the cheek pads have been made of different thicknesses to offer a personalized fit. Available from next March it will be on sale for 399 euros.
