Aprilia Tuono V4 1100, the big surprise of EICMA 2014

Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 – Surely one of the nice surprises of the Milan Motorcycle Show, which opens its doors to the press today at the Rho exhibition centre, will be our own Aprilia, which unveiled over the weekend his new Tuono powered by an engine 1100 cm3 and capable of delivering 175 HP. The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 will be available in two versions, RR and Factory, and promises to be the fastest and sportiest roadster ever produced so far.

Perhaps precisely to celebrate the 2014 World Superbike title of Sylvain Guintoli aboard the RSV4, Aprilia decided to make it public just before the 2014 EICMA in Milan opened. 1,5 kg lighter than the previous model, the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 has updated its forms, it is equipped with a more comfortable saddle and has narrower handlebars. The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 will be available in Donington Portimao gray and blue. The increase in power made it reach 170-175 HP at 11.000 rpm and a maximum torque of 120 Nm at 9000 rpm.

The chassis was also revised in order to make the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 1100 efficient both on the road and on the track, thanks also to the experience gained in SBK. The column angle increased from 25,1° to 24,7° and the swingarm extended by 6mm. The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR has a 43 mm Sachs upside down fork which is separately adjustable in compression, both at rest and in preload, as is the piggy back shock absorber of the same brand. LThe Factory version is equipped with Öhlins and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres.

The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 incorporates the third generation of APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control), traction control ATC (Aprilia Traction Control), anti-brake AWC (Aprilia Wheelie Control), Aprilia Launch Control) and Aprilia Quick Shift. The 2015 Tuono also receives a new version of the 9MP Race ABS, developed in collaboration with Bosch.
