Aprilia Tuono 660: the arrival on the market of the new medium-sized naked bike

Aprilia tuono 660 it is a new example of sportsmanship. Highlights are a functional weight/power ratio and an electronic control package derived from the Tuono V4, as indicated.

The specialised farming model

The appearance is bold and streamlined and the small dimensions enhance its dynamism. Also in relief is a double fairing already noted above RS 660. The front lights in three LED segments are distinctive and enriched by DRL daytime running lights.
The frame and swingarm are developed in die-cast aluminum and Kayaba suspensions manageable with a dedicated set up are also highlighted. Also distinctive is the high handlebar which favors a different riding position and differentiated chassis heights compared to the faired RS 660, considering a different offset of the fork plate.
Moving on to the electronic part, we highlight the instrumentation TFT in color, five Riding Modes of which three dedicated to the road and two usable on the track, therefore also a Ride-by-Wire electronic accelerator and electronic controls APRC considering anti wheelie, cruise control, engine brake, selectable engine maps, ABS and multilevel traction control.
Three color variations listed: Concept Black, Iridium Grey and an unpublished one Acid Gold, as on the new RS 660.

The propulsive heart

The engine is a load-bearing element, depending on its compactness and structural rigidity. A newly designed forward-facing twin-cylinder with low weight, the result of previous experience on the most powerful Aprilia V4 unit. A unit with 270° combustion timing that conveys a distinctive character and a shorter final ratio than that of the RS 660, according to the information. In dynamic alchemy a functional weight/power ratio is highlighted, considering 183 kg in running order e 95 horses of power. The availability of a version from 35 kW which can be driven by A2 license holders.
