The engine and the electronic part of the new one Aprilia Tuareg 660 are the highlighted topics of a film proposed by Aprilia Official on Youtube.

Agility and versatility

Piero Soatti, Head of Aprilia Engineering, intervenes in the video. After a previous video focused on the concept of Tuaregs 660, an evocative name that recalls the legendary challenges in African rally raids and in particular the Paris-Dakar and the Rally of the Pharaohs, this time we focus on the technical part.
The Tuareg people use the term to define themselves “imohag”, which indicates "free man". A feeling shared by those who love to explore and the Aprilia Tuareg 660 must support this desire.
This motorbike is designed to be dynamic and functional, thanks also to its low weight. It recalls the '94 model and is equipped with functional electronic solutions. The dry weight amounts to 187 kg and the tank can hold 18 litres, according to the indications already reported.
The frame appears to be a trellis and a propulsive heart is linked to this twin cylinder da 660 cc, on which we worked according to the type of vehicle, to also be used off-road. The power reaches 80 horses and the couple vertex is equal to 70 Nm.
The new Aprilia Tuareg 660 is equipped with standard instrumentation TFT, controls APRC, four driving modes varying between “Explore”, “Urban”, “Off-Road” with disengageable ABS e "Individual" which allows intervention on the various parameters and other systems indicated in the video.
The design appears slim and rocky, embellished with a large Tuareg writing visible on the sides, at the height of the tank. The minimalist design of the LED front light cluster is also distinctive, recalling the light signature adopted on the road range.
The suspension part consists of a fork and swingarm with an adjustable travel of 240 mm, a Brembo braking system and wheels of different diameters: 21 inches in front and 18 inches behind.
