Larger displacement, homologation Euro 5 and a design refined with integrated winglets, are just some of the highlighted features of the renewed one Aprilia RSV4.

Sporty size

A bold concept progressively refined. Two versions are worth mentioning: the RSV4 in one guise Dark Losail , RSV4 Factory with livery Aprilia Black o Lava Red. The heart is still the advanced V4 engine now with 1.099 cc, but the setup is different given that the Factory includes an Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system, Brembo Stylema braking calipers and forged aluminum wheels, as reported.
Unveiled via the web in a world preview via Aprilia.com, the renewed aesthetics of the RSV4 are the result of targeted work on applied aerodynamics, with concepts that recall the new RS 660 and a low drag coefficient compared to the performances expressed, increasing the air pressure in the airbox with an increase in downforce, based on the information. The front lights are triple LED with perimeter DRL lights, which characterizes the new sports cars from the Noale company and, as noted, an integrated function “bending lights” considering the action of additional headlights which illuminates the inside of the curve. Among other interesting aspects, the winglets no longer appear as added elements but are integrated into the double-walled fairing, promoting stability at high speeds and also supporting engine cooling.

Technique and technology

The chassis part, given a construction experience enriched by 18 world titles and 143 grand prix in the 250 GP, presents a new and lighter swingarm with lower reinforcement truss, drawing inspiration from that of the Aprilia RS-GP deployed in MotoGP, designed to reduce the masses and increase the stability of the rear axle in progression.
Ergonomics have also been refined by introducing a new tank and a new saddle which allow a congenial symbiosis of the rider with the fairing, as well as greater space and a more relaxed position for the rider, according to the indications. There are more functional electrical controls and a new and larger one TFT instrumentation. Through a new Marelli 11MP control unit and the six-axis inertial platform, both more powerful, the electronic management with full Ride-by-Wire throttle control is evolved, like the operating logics of theAPRC. The overview of electronic controls also includes multi-level control of the engine braking and are noted you are Riding Mode: three for track use, two of which can be customised; therefore three more functional on the road and of these one customizable. The driver can select the preferred Riding Mode automatically obtaining the best tuning of ABS, engine braking, Traction Control, Wheelie Control and other associated parameters.

Motor

The effective displacement of the engine V4 is slightly increased compared to the previous 1.077 cc, now of 1.099 cc. Greater torque indicated and a confirmed maximum power of 217 horses, based on precise interventions and a new exhaust system. The approval is Euro 5.
