Aprilia RS 660: an immediate success in the new season of the Twins Cup of the MotoAmerica championship

New triumph riding an example of Aprilia RS 660 in the first event of the 2023 season Twins Cup held on the track of Daytona, as part of the championship MotoAmerica. The sportswoman continues to be a protagonist after having already shone on her debut in 2021, recalling the achievement of ten victories and the title with Kaleb De Keyrel.

A new victory on the board

The first comparison of Twins Cup was raced last weekend on the legendary circuit in Florida, as mentioned, while the next stage is scheduled on the track of Road Atlanta from 21 to 23 April 2023.

The rider Gus Rodio, riding the Aprilia RS 660 prepared by the Rodio Racing team powered by Robem Engineering, was the absolute protagonist in the first of the two races scheduled at Daytona, becoming uncatchable in the final stages of the first comparison until crossing the finish line with over 8 seconds ahead of the first pursuer. A gap that once again highlighted the qualities of the bike in the US challenge dedicated to the twin-cylinder models derived from the series. Almost half of the drivers on the grid, specifically 15 out of 38, chose to contest the new season with the compact sports car from the Noale brand, as reported again on the occasion.

In the second race, Rodio came close to another success by just 162 thousandths, in the final sprint against Stefano Mesa on a Yamaha. Considering the victory in the first match and the placing in race two, the eighteen-year-old from Hammonton (New Jersey) is currently leading the standings with 45 points.
