Aprilia Racing Factory Works: the RSV2017 FW-GP will debut in 4

Aprilia Racing Factory Works – The Aprilia Racing project which provides very high performance motorbikes, built on the basis of the extraordinary RSV4, for 2017 offers an even more powerful and high-performance version of the RSV4, the FW-GP. This model represents the top of the range of motorcycles manufactured by Aprilia Racing, thanks to the V4 engine with pneumatic valve distribution, with a configuration similar to that used by Aprilia in the 2015 MotoGP world championship.

In the sporting history of Aprilia RSV4 they can be counted well seven world titles in the superbike world championship since 2009 , victory in 2015 of the Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles in the FIM CUP Superstock 1000. A great racing career that was born from the technical leadership of the production model, which also won several times the comparative tests with its rivals, organized by many world motorcycle magazines.

aprilia-racing – the most innovative sports development platform of the entire Piaggio group – launched the “Factory Works” project last year, designed to make all the technology and technical innovations of the racing department accessible to anyone who wants to get the most out of their bike on the circuit. RSV4, making it a track weapon very similar to the one that won the SBK world titles. Different levels of preparation are available which affect the chassis, electronics and above all the engine, depending on the customer's needs. In 2017, however, an even more extreme level of preparation is introduced, further raising the bar of performance expected for this bike. She will be called FW-GP and will be able to boast a V4 engine with bore increased to 81 mm equipped with pneumatic valve distribution (over 250 HP), a configuration similar to the one with which Aprilia raced in the 2015 MotoGP world championship. Aprilia Racing therefore becomes the first to make available to the customer the exact same technology developed in MotoGP, accompanied by a series of pre- and post-sales services, which aim to make this experience exclusive and unique, as well as being able to exploit all the potential of the RSV4 R FW-GP.

“Aprilia Racing has always competed in the most selective world speed championships, such as MotoGP, to gain experience and develop technologies to also bring to the production product. RSV4 is the best example of the close collaboration that exists between the racing world and production. With the Factory Works program, Aprilia Racing today offers something more, something truly unique, namely the possibility of owning a real racing bike. The levels of sophistication available are different: starting from an RSV4 optimized for the track, passing through the SSTK version (entirely the bike that dominated the 1000 Superstock 2015 FIM Cup) up to a real Superbike. For 2017 we wanted to go further, making available an extreme RSV4 configuration, equipped with an engine with pneumatic valve timing. With the FW-GP Aprilia Racing offers its customers not only the technology developed in MotoGP, but also a special treatment of information, assistance and adjustment of the bike, before, during and after purchase, as happens with riders who race with Aprilia Racing, to allow them to make the most of all the potential of this exceptional bike."

The service package reserved for the customer who chooses this solution includes a special invitation to the Noale headquarters for the stipulation of the contract and a discussion with the technicians to "forge" his FW-GP according to his desires and budget. A constant daily contact line is therefore established to monitor the developments of the preparation, which continues even after the sale to take care of further modifications and adjustments. The customer then receives his example directly in Noale (if desired), hand-delivered by the technicians together with a leather suit for the track by Aprilia Racing, a paddock pass for a MotoGP race weekend and an invitation to participate in a Aprilia Track Day event. There will also be a technician present who will follow the customer in all his performances on the track, even outside of Aprilia events.
