Aprilia, its SBK riders protagonists at the 2015 Motodays

Aprilia – The Motodays ended with an excellent success with the public and the second day of the Roman event even entered the World Guinness for hosting a singular challenge: the Roman pilot Marcello Sarandrea, 32 years old, got on one Yamaha Tricker 250 and he broke a curious record, directing his motorcycle with the sole use of his torso through a 1.230 meter track divided into 6 curves, which he traveled for 222 km, or 180 turns without touching the handlebars with his hands and placing his feet on earth on a guided circuit. The previous record belonged to the Colombian motorcyclist Manrique Saez Cruz who in February 2001 managed to travel 213 km in the same conditions.

They also arrived at Fiera Roma Leon Haslam and Jordi Torres, protagonists of the Superbike world championship with the Aprilia Red Devils and currently leader of the world championship standings after the first round in Australia, where Haslam took victory in race 2. Haslam and Torres did not miss the opportunity to challenge each other. This time at the Supercar stand, at the Formula 1 simulator, where they competed on the very fast Monza circuit. This time the best time was set by Jordi Torres, who didn't miss the opportunity to joke with the friend with whom he shares the Team Red Devils Aprilia garage. In fact, there is an excellent relationship between the two, a situation that is not always so obvious in a racing team.

Crowd bath also for Nicola Dutt, the rider who lost the use of his legs after a racing accident in 2010 and who just two years later returned to racing motorbikes in the enduro races of the Baja championship, even finishing in third place overall at the grueling ”Baja 1000”, an off-road competition lasting approximately 30 hours non-stop in the desert, with departure and arrival in Ensenada, in the Mexican state of Baja California. Dutto also tried his hand at the Frecce Tricolori flight simulator available at the Air Force stand. Yesterday there was also the presentation of the Team Red Devils Aprilia.
