Apollo Tires is about to introduce Vredestein Cargo, a tire designed for micro-mobility and designed for pedal-assisted cargo bikes used in urban deliveries. The debut is scheduled forEurobike 2022, an event scheduled in Frankfurt, Germany, from 13 al July 17 2022.

The news

On July 14th at 13pm Alexander Mai, Business Development Manager of the Two Wheel Tires department of Apollo Tyres, will present the Vredestein Cargo at the Cargo Area Stage in Hall 30.
The Vredestein brand has long been involved in the bicycle sector, the first tires for the sector were developed in 1910. Having entered the Apollo Tires family, Vredestein products are known for their interesting performance at competitive prices. Apollo Tires show Vredestein Cargo on the occasion of Eurobike 2022, from 13 to 17 July 2022, in pavilion 9.1, at stand F04 of the Frankfurt Fair. The new product will be associated with the new EAV eCargo bicycle.
Vredestein Cargo, defined over more than two years of development, features an innovative compound with a design that strengthens the sidewalls and an equally substantial carcass with a steel bead. An aspect that promises to last six times longer than that of a standard bicycle tyre.
Based on practical tests, Vredestein Cargo has a service life of approximately 8.000-10.000 km, which is higher than the average mileage of 1.500 km of a standard bicycle tyre. It also promises a significantly lower total cost of ownership, according to claims.

Thanks to the aforementioned structural properties, influenced by a design that recalls the car tires made by Vredestein, the new product offers notable standards when it comes to grip, comfort and traction in different conditions. Along with this launch, the signing of an exclusive partnership agreement between Apollo Tires and the British micro-mobility company EAV was reported, according to which the Vredestein Cargo will be present on eCargo, the new generation of four-wheeled e-bikes. Also highlighted is the role of EAV in the development of the design of the Vredestein Cargo, meeting the needs of users.
The new tire will be introduced in a single size, with a diameter of 20 inches (508 mm) and a width of 2,2 inches (55mm). Other measures will be communicated during 2023.
