Anlas Capra Extreme: the new competition enduro tire

The Turkish company introduces several innovations in the compounds and composites used

Established in the sector motorcycle and scooter tyres in our country, with clear ideas and a "tailored" approach to the customer, as they like to define it, has created a line of tires in the motorcycle sector that adapt to the choice of  motorcyclist for his mount, like a hand-stitched shoe, i.e. keeping in mind the needs of the situation of use, the type of route and the performance required.

Now very well known and consolidated Capra line, which with its derivations covers the entire sector of use of maxi enduro, From Capra RD 90% road e 10% off-road to the Capra, knobby designed specifically to have excellent performance even on asphalt, and allow all-round use, with good performance even on wet surfaces, thanks to the inclusion of silica inside the compound, a radial carcass allows stability at high speeds and particular construction of the block significantly reduces the noise, "howling" from rolling, and guarantees long-lasting travel, both in off-road mode, limiting cuts from "wheeling", and on bitumen thanks to the consistency of the compound used on the central blocks. It was time for Event, to try their hand at a more specialized sector, and, faithful to their company philosophy, which leaves nothing to improvisation, the choice was simple, competition enduro. Here it is born Extreme goat, a competition enduro tyre, which brings several innovations to the sector, starting from the compound and composites used, thanks to the Anlas chemical research and development sector in Turkey, where the laboratories in close contact with the technical department develop new compounds in tandem and fusion solutions, hand in hand with testers and field use tests,  maintaining the concept of "tailored" development active from the first strategic corporate decision.

For the development of Capra Extreme, Anlas focuses on a 360-degree use of the tyre, tested in all possible scenarios, with more than 2000 hours of driving, and 7300km travelled, between sea level up to 3000 meters, with 3000km of rallies and a Dakar included, by the tester  Serkan Ozdemir. There carcass by Capra Extreme, is made with a Bias structure with overlapping corners of the canvases, which give softness and above all greater resistance to punctures, ensuring the avoidance of deformations during braking, thanks to the reinforced shape of the heel. For the design of the tiles Anlas chooses one differentiated configuration, which allows the tire to grip effectively even on slippery surfaces, the particular design gives the central area in the play between solids and voids excellent grip when opening and braking, accentuating the differentiated geometry on the shoulders, with a very accentuated carcass profile, traction both when cornering and on muddy and poorly gripping surfaces. The real innovation, however, comes in the compound, here Anlas introduces a new fusion technology on the market, the LRT, (liquid, rubber, technology) literally, liquid rubber, this new fusion technique allows for high tear resistance, great stability, strong resistance to abrasion and good levels of grip on both dry and wet terrain, the "magic formula" from Anlas, which guarantees that it has found, in this system, the ideal solution which does not compromise between grip and rough surfaces and tire stability.

The Capra Extreme are offered in two variants for the rear tire, the first, Standard, for those who do not want to use it professionally, but still require superior performance, "we are still talking about Extreme”, the second, the soft, dedicated exclusively to competitions, while the compound for the front is unique. The pouring rain, which had been giving no respite for days, accompanied us throughout the day of testing, divided between a technical tape and a clayey and wet undergrowth, which allowed us to discover the behavior of the tires and the traction of the rear in the situation more difficult for a knobby, allowing the excellent directionality of the front to emerge, and the grip of the rear, especially for the Soft, which grips well and pushes even on muddy climbs, and allows decisive changes of direction even by opening the throttle wide open. For performance on dry and "grippy" terrain where it is possible to evaluate the behavior at speed and cornering, we will have to wait for a test with more lenient climate, but if the good morning starts in the morning, and if the grip in these conditions was already excellent, be surprised at the results on ideal terrain will not be difficult at all.
