Two-wheeler market, ANCMA: growth of 26% recorded in October

A double-digit increase for the market of motorized two-wheeled vehicles in October 2022. According to the registration data of mopeds, scooters and motorbikes proposed by Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Motorcycle Cycle Accessories), there was an increase of 26% in October compared to the same month last year, also achieved thanks to product availability.

The double-digit increase for the two-wheeled motorized vehicle market in the last month it corresponds to 21.802 registered vehicles, an increase of 25,95%. The performance of scooters was positive with the release of 12.326 units, a growth of 36,21%. Motorcycles were also new with a recorded increase of 17,22%, corresponding to 7.938 units. Equally positive, but less high, is the progress of mopeds with 1.538 units registered and a figure of 3,29%.
Following the slowdown experienced in August and September, the market's growth resumes electric vehicles also for the restart of state incentives. In the month of October, 1.363 specimens were recorded and a percentage increase of 30,81%. In the cumulative annual figure, speaking only of electric models and remembering that last year's volumes were exceeded in July, the figure is close to fifteen thousand units with 14.236 vehicles registered, an increase of 56,37%.
considering the trend from January to October, the latest increase recorded brings the cumulative figure close to parity compared to last year. The decline compared to 2021 is -0,71%, in light of 266.118 total specimens. Scooters, given the partial negative results of the last eight months, stand at 130.645 vehicles with a decline of 7,37%. The trend of motorbikes is still growing with 116.565 vehicles and an increase of 5,41%, finally the balance of mopeds is also positive with 18.908 units and an increase of 15,38%.
