Satisfactions that start from overseas and arrive straight at Borgo Panigale. CycleWorld is the best-selling motorbike magazine in the United States and in the traditional ranking of the best motorbikes of the year, in that of 2011, it also placed two Ducati. The Multistrada 1200 was awarded, for the second consecutive year, the title of "Best Open Streetbike", while the Diavel Carbon, defeated the fierce competition in the “Best Cruiser“, despite having only arrived on the American market a few weeks ago. This is a double prestigious recognition which does nothing but enhance the Ducati brand even more in the USA.

In the American market, the Rossa di Borgo Panigale was able to reverse the trend of the sharply declining motorcycle market, managing not only to maintain its position and turnover, but even increasing its market shares by 18 percent. A success for Ducati in America which seems to have no crisis, as confirmed by the sales figures for the first half of 2011.

These are the bikes awarded by CycleWorld in the various categories:

Best Standard: Kawasaki Z1000
Best Dual-Sport: Triumph Tiger 800XC
Best Open Streetbike: Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Sport
Best Cruisers: Ducati Diavel Carbon
Best Middleweight Streetbike: Kawasaki ZX-6R
Best Enduro Bike: Husaberg FE570S
Best Motocrosser: Suzuki RM-Z450
Best Sport-Touring Bike: BMW K1600GT
