Alpinenstars Supertech R10: a symbiotic synthesis of protection and performance

The new helmet Alpinestars Supertech R10 it is the result of optimization work that takes protection and performance into account. A sporty, aerodynamic model, studied in every detail considering visibility, ventilation zones and rider safety. There “Limited Launch Edition” of the model, composed by themselves 200 specimens, is coated with an exclusive Carbon / Red Shadow color combination.

Helmet

The specimen is approved according to the most recent standards ECE 22-06, then also DOT e END. Defined in the wind tunnel, the upper area features functional protuberances from an aerodynamic and acoustic point of view, as well as side fins and two different rear spoilers, one standard and the other more extended for use on the track. with a patented release system. The ventilation system consists of eleven openings, seven air intakes between the upper part and the chin guard, as well as four exit vents (two on the sides and two on the rear).

The shell is made using four different layers, starting with an external part in high-density 3K carbon that overlies another layer of unidirectional carbon, then another in heraldic fiber and a fourth in glass fiber.
The visor is accompanied by a metal locking lever, preventing involuntary detachment in the event of an impact. The thickness of the visor, coated with anti-fog and anti-scratch treatment, is 1,3 millimeters thick. The lowered lateral line is also highlighted in order to favor the field of vision, with 57° vertical visibility and 220° lateral, as reported.

Also interesting is the raised lower profile of the chin guard in order to attenuate a possible impact on the collarbone, given the presence of an expanded propylene lining over the shell and a flexible rubber compound.
Below the external shell is the multi-density EPS lining, defined by eight parts with specific densities to optimize the fit of the helmet and the absorption of impact forces of different types, in the event of a crash. A low-friction internal surface of the EPS lining was also studied. The inner lining can be removed and washed.

Like the outer shell, the EPS lining is unique based on the size of the helmet and to refine the fit there is a patented A-Head system to manage the height and angle of the helmet on the head. The weight reported in the average size is 1.540 grams, furthermore the presence of an ERS solution, Emergency Release System which allows the removal of the internal areas to facilitate the intervention of healthcare workers, is highlighted.

The limited series launch version

The 200 units of the "Limited Launch Edition" of the new helmet Alpinestars Supertech R10, will be offered in the exclusive Carbon / Red Shadow color, as mentioned.
