EICMA 2017 Piaggio MP3 – The family of three-wheeled scooters is expanding and the new version with a 350cc engine is arriving. In addition to the new model, the 500cc version has been revised in the Sport and Business versions.

All new models are equipped with three-channel ABS, which is combined with the braking system with 258 mm disc diameter. The three models are also equipped with: traction control, ASR (prevents the rear wheel from slipping on slippery surfaces) and the front suspension locking device, which allows the scooter to remain balanced on the three wheels and can be deactivated acting on the throttle control. The new range has been subject to a profound restyling, such as: in the saddle, equipped with a new ergonomic backrest, in the windshield, in the grille on the front shield and in the new direction indicators. Let's look at the three models in detail.

Piaggio MP3 350

The new engine takes the place of the 300, guaranteeing better performance. The engine is the same that equips the Piaggio Beverly 350, a single-cylinder engine that develops 30 HP and weighs 10 kg less than a 400. It is equipped as standard, on all three wheels, with disc brakes with a petal profile . The aesthetics of the new MP3 350 recalls that of its "big brother", the 500 Sport.

The result of the general restyling of the new range, the new model is equipped with a new windscreen and a revised design of the grille on the front shield. It will be available in 5 color variants: Black, Gray and Green, all three matt, in addition to the classic Pastel White and the new Pastel Grey, both glossy.

Piaggio MP3 500 Sport and Business

As with the 350 model, the updated Sport and Business versions have also been subject to restyling. In addition to the aesthetic aspect, the 500cc single-cylinder engine, called HPE (High Performance Engine), has also been revised and improved, which now develops 41 HP. A 10% increase in performance which however did not affect consumption. The Business model, equipped with TomTom navigator dedicated to scooters, will be available in the colours: Iceberg White, Universe Black, Matt Gray and a new Matt Blue.
The Sport version is equipped as standard with: footboard with metal inserts, pair of rear gas shock absorbers and three brake discs with daisy profile. It will be available in the colours: Black, Gray and Green, all three matt, in addition to the classic Pastel White and the new Pastel Grey, both glossy.
