Aleix Espargaró becomes Suzuki tester for a day [PHOTO]

He also got on the new GSX-S1000F ABS

Aleix Espargaró – In recent days Aleix Espargaró, rider of the Suzuki GSX-RR in MotoGP, stopped being a rider for a day to step into that of a Suzuki "tester", putting various motorcycle and car models of the Japanese brand to the test to verify firsthand person the close link between the technology used in competitions at the highest levels and series production.

The opportunity arose from the presentation of a new one SWIFT Sport GSX-RR Tribute, limited series edition of the compact and sporty car of the Suzuki brand inspired in the graphic definition by the GSX-RR MotoGP. Furthermore, Aleix Espargaró got on board the new one Suzuki GSX-S1000F ABS, which takes shape from the GSX-R1000 super sports bike, giving the absolute performance of this bike a more enjoyable interpretation on the road and positioning itself as the excellence of maxi street sports. The compact 4 cm³ 999-cylinder in-line engine of the GSX-R K5 series has been optimized to give the rider a powerful and vigorous response at every speed. 146 HP of maximum power and excellent torque, all perfectly usable thanks to a sophisticated electronic traction control system (settable on three intervention levels) which ensures maximum safety in all driving conditions.

During the test in Vairano, Espargaró was able to verify the close connection between the prototype he took to the race and the series production, seeing first-hand how much the technological transfer from competitions can impact the creation of motorcycles intended for the public. "I really liked the GSX-S1000F. The engine runs very strong, it has a lot of power! Compared to a MotoGP the weight and inertia obviously change, but the nature is similar and it is a truly exciting bike to ride..” the pilot said. Then Aleix Espargaró quickly switched from the saddle to the wheel, engaging in a duel with the stopwatch on board the new Suzuki Swift Sport GSX-RR Tribute and, again, tackling a challenging off road route driving the Vitara DDiS AllGrip V-Cool. “Suzuki motorcycles always give you an exceptional feeling and cars do exactly the same thing. The experience was fantastic. I have always had a passion for sports cars and when I can I also go to the track on four wheels. With the SWIFT I pushed continuously, managing to turn faster and faster. A great satisfaction: it's really fun, it feels like driving a kart!” concluded Aleix Espargaró.
