Acciona: with 10.000 shared electric vehicles, the largest scooter sharing operator in the world

Considering the needs of urban mobility, also in light of the health emergency, the fleet Acciona has increased to 10.000 unit, becoming the largest scooter sharing operator in the world by number of units shared.

Operation and assistance

The means linked to Acciona they transmit performances similar to those of 125 cc scooters, with two driving modes based on urban traffic and for traveling on fast roads.
To use the service, you must register on the Acciona app and validate your contact information. Once this is done, you can access the location of the scooters available for immediate use or you can book their use in advance (15 minutes). It is also permitted to go outside the operational area but, to complete the rental, it is necessary to return within the established area and park the scooter in the parking places dedicated to motorcycles, concluding the route via the application.

Acciona is present at Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Lisbon e Milano, envisaging expansion at a national and international level. A shared and functional transport solution active since 2018.
Celebrating the milestone, the service "will be free for the entire day of June 11th, both for existing users and for all those who register via the app on the same day", as reported.

Safety and health protocols

A safe and sustainable mobility alternative, avoiding overcrowding on public transport and decongesting urban spaces, it is also electric.
A strict daily hygiene protocol has been implemented, in accordance with the requirements and indications of the health authorities.
All vehicles have wet wipes for cleaning high-contact areas, such as the handlebars, as well as disposable under-helmets and hydroalcoholic hand gel, to be applied before and after each use. The Acciona application then offers information and recommendations on how to protect yourself, hygiene and the appropriate use of vehicles. Ensuring the sanitization of motorbikes and the replacement of personal protective equipment, the hours available for the service have been reduced and are currently active from 06:00 in the morning at 02:00 night.
