Triumph – Triumph celebrates a record sales year after supplying almost one in five motorcycles, over 500 cc, in the United Kingdom in 2014. The British company was the one that sold the most over 500cc motorcycles in the UK, taking a share of 18,7% of the market, with an increase of 8% compared to 2013.

The Triumph range appears to have positioned itself well largely due to the fact that it has benefited from the growth in interest for retro models, with sales of the Bonneville Scrambler up as much as 84%. The adventure range also achieved good results, with the turnover of the Tiger 800XC reaching up to 24% and that of the 1200 Explorer XC up to 54%. In total Triumph sold 8.128 motorbikes in the UK, just last year.

It follows, therefore, that the data released by Triumph shows how the British brand has increased by 10% sales in the UK market in 2014. The General Manager of Triumph UK, Rick Cawley, ha detto: “The sector is undoubtedly experiencing its most successful seasons for more than five years, a true reflection of the growing confidence in the UK economy, which demonstrates how two wheels are regaining popularity as a pastime, as well as a fashionable option for urban commuters".

Confirmed, however, in Italy theeighth position in the ranking as regards the best-selling motorcycles of 2014, with 2.766 new registrations and a slight decline compared to the previous year. The 2015 will, however, reserve more interesting innovations for our market, such as the Tiger 800, and it is no mystery that in 2016 the "classic" series will grow.
