The Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact are the best sport touring tires [PHOTO]

It is the third victory in a comparison for the German brand

Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact – The German motorcycle magazine Motorrad awarded the best sport touring tires on the market and the prize went to Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact, which beat the competition from the Pirelli ANGEL GT, Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT, Bridgestone Battlax T30 EVO, Dunlop Sportmax RoadSmart II and Continental Road Attack 2 GT. For the comparative test, published in the 12/2015 issue of the German magazine, all the tires were tested in measures 120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear mounted on six identical model motorcycles Yamaha FJR1300A.

The testers of the editorial team of Motorrad they took various evaluation parameters into consideration, putting all the tires to the test and testing them under different conditions. To evaluate its overall behaviour, the test included a test both on an extra-urban road and on the motorway in two separate moments, i.e. with new tires and, as a second moment of verification, after they had already traveled 4000 kilometres. In addition, a wet test was also carried out on a specially equipped circuit to verify the behavior of the tires in the event of wet asphalt or rain. The final result of the comparison saw the winners Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact, thanks to the excellent performance demonstrated on extra-urban roads, excellent behavior on wet surfaces and the best results in its category in terms of mileage combined with grip and handling that never fail.

Thanks to this victory Metzeler takes it home for the third consecutive year a motorcycle tire comparison created by Motorrad. In 2013 the triumph arrived in the enduro street segment with the TOURANCE Next, in 2014 he rose to the top step with the SPORTEC M7 RR, voted best super sports tyre, and in 2015 it was the turn of the Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact in the sport touring category.
