Suzuki's electric scooter arrives
It is equipped with a removable lithium battery supplied by Panasonic in addition to a high-performance wheel motor and a high-efficiency control circuit. The scooter e-Let's by Suzuki it is completely electric and makes lightness, as well as the almost non-existent environmental impact, one of its strong points. The chassis weighs two kilograms less than the petrol model version and, as declared by the Japanese company, combines smooth acceleration, snappy driving, with high torque at low rpm, silence and reduced vibrations.
The peculiarity lies in battery that can be extracted with a few moves to then be replaced or recharged via any domestic socket. The battery charger can then be placed in the saddle compartment to facilitate the execution of the operation.
Designed on the basis of the Let's4 Basket petrol model, e-Let's, the company from the Land of the Rising Sun points out, is equipped with an electric motor with excellent performance, assembled on the rear wheel and capable of generating and recovering energy during braking. Thanks to an overall higher energy efficiency than a combustion engine, e-Let's stands out for one very limited management of operating costs.
The limit lies rather in the autonomy of this scooter designed for daily travel: approx 30 kilometers maintaining a speed of 30 km/h on flat roads. Suzuki's 50cc two-wheeler will be available starting January next year exclusively for the Japanese market.
