On the occasion of the Fuorisalone 2022

I 75 years of Lambretta are remembered in Milan on the occasion of fuorisalone 2022. Thanks to Lambretta and Lambretta Museum, the artistic installation “Infinite | Heritage to Future” proposes a characteristic synthesis of the path taken by the brand, featuring the most representative models of the past, the present and the new examples, united together through evocative iconographic material. Among the models highlighted in the Small Cloister of San Simpliciano in Milan, in the Brera Design District, are the first example produced, the historic Lambretta M(A) designed on a chassis level by Cesare Pallavicino and by Pier Lugi Torre from a mechanical point of view; then again the "golden scooter" of the actress Jane Mansfield and the 225 Corsa model capable of exceeding 170 km/h.
On this occasion, the international launch of the new models is also highlighted Lambretta G350 Special e X300.

The newness

The first specimen introduced on the occasion is the Lambretta G350 Special or even G-Special, which appeared at EICMA 2019 with the name G325 Special. Given the health emergency period, development and launch were delayed. With the increase in engine displacement, the G325 became the G350 and it is a premium example in the scooter market, with the highest displacement in the respective category on a higher range than the V-Special proposal, which has three displacements 50, 125 and 200 cc and was introduced in 2017.
The dimensions of the vehicle are generous, given a length of 1.956 mm with 1.400 mm of entireties, a width of 770 mm and a height of 1.129 mm, according to the data transmitted.
It represents the brand's flagship product, whose concept and design, curated by Walter Scheffrahn and Peter Beselin, recall the classic stylistic features of the historic Lambrettas. A design combined with current solutions such as full LED headlights and a TFT instrument panel.
The model features a monocoque steel frame with interchangeable side panels, in line with the company's tradition. The suspension part is also highlighted with a front solution with a pulled-wheel swinging arm and double shock absorber, then a dual-channel ABS system moving on to the braking system, which features 240 mm discs.
The tank can hold 9,5 liters of fuel and the reported dry weight is 173 kg.
The 330 cc engine is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled heart. The power reaches 25,8 horses at 7.500 rpm, with a torque peak of 25,5 Nm at 6.250 rpm.
Perl mass production is indicated at the end of this year. The indicative price for the G350 Special example is 7.200 euros.

The other model shown on the occasion is X300. The X series represents a new line characterized by a distinctive design, but with the typical references to the Lambretta brand.
This is the first model of this series which anticipates new paths and is the result of collaboration with international technical partners. A vehicle designed as an "ideal vehicle" for new enthusiasts, according to the indications. The design derives from a concept studied by Walter Scheffrahn, President of Lambretta.
The aesthetic features are sporty and with references to the legendary Lambrettas. The section of the steel sides stands out with a "diamond" design. The fixed mudguard connotative of the Lambretta style remains and the example is equipped with LED headlights, a keyless starting solution and a Bosch electronic injection system.
Lambretta Among the technical aspects, then, we highlight a front suspension with pulled-wheel swinging arm and double shock absorber, as well as 300 mm and 220 mm disc brakes for the front and rear wheels respectively with dual-channel ABS.
The length extends for 1.922 mm with a wheelbase of 1.370 mm, the width reaches 741 mm and the maximum height is 1.117 mm.
The example is equipped with a 4 cc single-cylinder, 275-stroke, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine. Maximum power indicated 24,8 horses at 8.250 rpm e 24,5 Nm of torque at 6.250 rpm. Another interesting initiative during the 75th anniversary celebrations is the gathering of Lambretta Club Milan of June 9th. At 18 pm around fifty historic Lambrettas are expected for the interesting meeting at the entrance to the cloister.
Lambretta currently operates in 45 countries with a holding company in Lugano and branches in numerous countries. The administrative activity is based near London.
Both the X series and the G-Special are the work of a close collaboration with the Thai branch, which started working on over 3 years ago.
