The last time he was at home was 2006 Harley Davidson they saw the “+” sign on the quarterly budget. After five years, the balance sheet data for the second quarter of 2011 recorded a positive sign: + 7,5 % in the internal market e + 5.6 % in global sales. Certainly not a brilliant result but given the period and the previous budgets it is a breath of fresh air after Harley Davidson sank into the crisis and sales completely collapsed from 2007 onwards, forcing Buell to close and MV Agusta to disappear.

From April to June 2011 the Harley Davidson quarterly marks 83.396 specimens sold all over the world. The forecasts for the next few months give us hope and indicate a closure for the end of the year with profits increasing between 8 and 12 percent compared to last year as regards exports, which translated means around 230.000 motorcycles distributed throughout the planet.

For Harley Davidson and all fans of this historic two-wheeler, this is good news for one of the motorcycle manufacturers most affected by the economic crisis. For the Milwaukee brand, it is still too early to understand whether this is a solid and lasting recovery, also because the general two-wheel market continues to be in strong contraction.
