Last July, on the occasion of Mugello GP, HRC (Honda Racing Corportation) gave to the family Simoncelli two motorbikes. There RC212V with which the unforgettable Marco raced in MotoGP, and one CBR1000RR “Supersic”, personalized with the rider's favorite colors and graphics. The objective was to raise funds for the Foundation named after him, through the auctioning of the motorbike itself. Whoever won it would have received it at the Eicma in Milan during an official thanksgiving ceremony.

Carmelo Ezpeleta won the auction with a final bid of just over 50 thousand Euros, but at the suggestion of his daughter, Dorna's number one actually paid the evocative figure of 58 thousand Euros, to pay even better homage the memory of the beloved Italian pilot.

But that is not all. Being a symbolic motorbike, created in this splendid livery to keep Marco's memory alive, Ezpeleta's final decision was certainly the best one could have made: returning it to Paolo and Rossella Simoncelli.

The delivery took place today, Saturday 17 November at the Eicma in Milan at the Honda stand, in the context of the award ceremony for the best riders who participated in the 2012 Honda single-brand trophies (HIRP, Honda Italia Racing Project).

The event, presented by Geo Gandolfo of AutoMotoTV and Paolo Beltramo of Mediaset, also saw the participation of Livio Suppo, marketing director of Honda HRC, Paolo Sesti, President of the FMI, and obviously Carmelo Ezpeleta and Marco's parents, Paolo and Rossella Simoncelli.

The audience present was very warm and, since the morning during the setting up of the stage, they crowded together in large numbers to await the start of the ceremony and then "embraced" all the participants in long applause.

All enthusiasts can still admire the Honda CBR1000RR 'SuperSic' at the Casa dell'Ala stand, pavilion 4, at the Eicma in Milan, until Sunday 18 November 2012.
