Bultaco – The revived Spanish brand Bultaco is gearing up to produce 1.000 motorcycles a year in a new 2.000 square meter factory in Barcelona.

The company plans to start making its new electric model, the Brinco, by the end of 2015 and has already stated that the production line capacity could eventually be 20.000 units per year. Unlike the original Brinco 74cc two-stroke from the 70s, the new one comes in the form of an electric bike with pedal assistance. The new model from the Spanish brand will have a 2.6 HP motor incorporated into the rear wheel, with a more impressive 59.9 Nm of torque. The autonomy range can be 29,9 km using only battery power or 80,4 if it will be assisted by pedal assistance, while charging time will be three hours.

The new Bultaco Jump it will weigh only 39 kg including the 9 kg battery and the price announced in Spain is 4.800 euros. The Brinco was one of three new electric prototypes unveiled by Bultaco last year, the other two, called Rapitan and Rapitan Sport, are more similar to conventional motorcycles with 54 HP. For now, no announcement has been made about when these two new models will go into production.
