BMW Motorrad delivers the first fleet of C evolution electric scooters to the local police in Barcelona [PHOTO]

BMW Motorrad – The city of Barcelona has received the first electrically motorized vehicle fleet dedicated to an official authority. This is a fleet of scooters that includes 30 new BMW C evolution it was, in fact, delivered to the Municipality of the Catalan city to be used by the local police.

The first fully electrically powered scooter produced by BMW Motorrad it will allow the police to move with maximum efficiency and with zero emissions. The BMW C evolution it is BMW Motorrad's zero-emission response to the ever-increasing and new urban mobility, with a continuous power of 11KW and a maximum power of 35 KW. The scooter is approved to be driven with an A1 or B license and combines pure driving pleasure, typical of an electric vehicle, with excellent dynamic qualities, as well as with the advantages of having a zero-emission vehicle, capable of providing a new driving experience.

With its high performance the BMW C evolution it was the perfect choice for Barcelona, ​​a pioneering city in the use of eco-friendly vehicles. The model purchased by the city authorities is identical to the standard version, but with modifications to adapt it to the daily use of police officers, which include an enlarged windshield for protection purposes and a signaling system. Highlighting the importance of the delivery of this fleet, Guenther Seemann, president of the BMW Group in Spain, as well as handing over the keys to the scooter to the mayor Xavier Trias, declared: “Lhe delivery of this fleet is a special achievement for the BMW Group for two main reasons: it is the first fleet of electric scooters worldwide supplied to a city authority and secondly the recipient is the city of Barcelona, ​​a model in Europe when it comes to two-wheeled mobility."
