Navigate, make calls, listen to music and much more. The skills of modern smartphones are many and if we could do it better even while riding our motorbike, it would be even more comfortable. For this reason BMW Motorrad has designed a real "cradle" for smartphones which will allow us to attach a device up to a size of 5 inches, quickly and safely.

The smartphone will be securely attached to the handlebar clamps to facilitate reading and optimal management by the rider, horizontally or vertically, as we prefer. Mounting this smartphone "cradle" by BMW Motorrad is possible using a support, the BMW Motorrad Navigator V. Placed in a very resistant plastic case, the smartphone is not only perfectly protected against dust and water, but also offers the best possible readability, thanks to an anti-glare see-through viewing panel.

Charging the device takes place via micro-USB or, if available, wirelessly. In this regard, the transmission of the necessary energy occurs through electromagnetic induction. A light-emitting diode, on the other hand, informs you about the state of charge. A non-slip shelf combats vibrations and shocks, while a gel pad ensures a safe and careful installation as well as disperses smartphone exhaust heat while driving. The new BMW Motorrad smartphone “cradle” is likely to be available as early as the second quarter of 2016. Its price could, however, be revealed shortly.
