20.000 Folds: the tenth birthday is celebrated with three special routes

To celebrate the tenth anniversary, the 20.000 Folds back to The Dolomites, one of the most admired and frequented areas by motorcyclists, an authentic training ground for lovers of more challenging riding. The now classic raid had already had as a point of reference Tended , Val di Fiemme and for the '2018 editionIn calendar by 13 17 to June, the Hotel Shandranj will still have its base.

It therefore promises to be a very demanding route but which will offer participants the opportunity to "experience" one of the authentic beauties of the world, the Dolomites area, capable of leaving any observer breathless at the sight but also of transmitting to motorcyclists a 'irrepressible desire to drive, to test oneself among the curves, not to be intimidated by the climbs and descents, both always steep, at times almost dizzying. Three stages are scheduled, according to the now tested (and successful) formula of the 20.000 Pieghe, the first oriented towards the Dolomites, of 355 kilometres; the second of 331 km, dedicated to the roads of Alto Adige; the last (301 km), designed along the Trentino routes. The Preliminary Operations will take place on Wednesday 13 June and the event will be presented in its definitive form to all participants; Sunday 17th, once the three mountain "caps" have been disposed of, a big party with awards ceremony before saying goodbye and returning home. Among the motorbike touring raids, the 20.000 Pieghe is the one that offers the pleasure of travel but with a bit of competitive spirit and a final ranking: the ability to identify the routes, respecting the passages at the way-points, and the result of the skill tests ( which from 2018 will take place along the route of the stages and no longer in the squares), will in fact contribute to determining a real ranking. And given that the spirit that animates the participants is "quite" touristy, we can already predict that the stimulus given by the comparison will force everyone to offer the best of themselves. To participate in the 20.000 Pieghe 2018 you can join the Smart or Premium offer; the first (350 Euros) leaves the participant free to choose the hotel accommodation and places where to have meals, the second (650 Euros) entrusts the highly expert and attentive staff of Moto Club Motolampeggio di Roma and his patron Daniele Alessandrini, the organization of overnight stays and meals.

This year the route will be "daisy" meaning all three daily stages will start and finish from Tesero. Obviously the routes are top secret, only the evening before the departure of each fraction will the roadmaps be delivered which will then have to be translated onto the geographical maps. Essential and frank as "real" motorbike tourists know how to be, those who joyfully face the mountains and are not afraid of hours and hours of riding, the 20.000 Pieghe is however also a sort of phenomenon in the panorama of road raids. It therefore attracts sponsors, brands, official teams who contribute to raising the general quality level and give a pleasant touch of glamor to everything, at least until the moment of the awards ceremony. Because from this year the material prizes will be awarded exclusively to individual participants or to teams made up of simple friends or to those of Moto Clubs. In 2017, to establish itself between the Langhe and the western Alps, on the border with France (and even beyond), it was the journalist Emmanuel Macaluso, its Honda, who took home a very rich prize, an Suzuki V Strom 650 up for grabs directly from the Italian branch of the Japanese company. The succession hunt has already begun.
