MV Agusta – Good news for MV Agusta. The Varese motorcycle company would have obtained a loan of 15 million euro by SACE and Banca Popolare di Milano.

The loan, which was issued by BPM and guaranteed by SACE, will be used to satisfy foreign growth plans of MV Agusta, namely the strengthening of its business in the United States and its expansion in Brazil and South-East Asia. MV Agusta will use these 15 million euros for the implementation of the business plan 2014-2018, whose main points include the expansion of the product range and the penetration of "high potential" markets.

MV Agusta has had a rather bumpy road ahead in securing the necessary financial loans since the company was reacquired by the family Castiglioni, while today we find ourselves faced with the first major investment by the banking system in the legendary Italian motorcycle brand. This "lucky" turning point is certainly also due in part to Mercedes-AMG who recently purchased the 25% of private stock of MV Agusta. The German car brand not only brings its resources and technology to MV Agusta, but could also provide a greater dose of stability. Overall, the loan can only be seen as good news for the Varese motorcycle manufacturer which desperately needs to consolidate and strengthen its presence in the American market.

Every year the MV Agusta motorcycles mature and penetrate new segments, but the structure of the business base has failed its customers. The turning point for the Italian brand, however, now seems to be within reach.
